You won't be surprised to know that press, being one of the branches of mass media, has an influential role in each country's political, economic and cultural success. It represents local or/and international information on different issues making people be more and more informed of everyday life.

With no doubt it can be claimed that "ArmPress" is one of the press companies handling a responsibility to provide a full-service information to the people both in Armenia and outside the country timely.

"ArmPress" is operating its business since the 1930s. Before the independence of the Republic of Armenia (RA). It was functioning as a member of "Soiuzpechat", the Ministry of the Communication of the Soviet Union (SU). For many decades "ArmPress" was the only one in this sphere. Many professional specialists took their first experience here and, currently, are working hard for the company's success.

Indeed, it was in Communist times when the company as such was the only one in the region and had no competitors. Later, when CIS countries became independent states and started to follow the rule of low some other press providing companies have been opened in Armenia. However, as many specialists assert, "ArmPress" is still staying the most fast and optimal among its competitors due to the variety of professionals working there and better service provision not only in Armenia but also in nearly all over the world.

After the collapse of the SU the company has been reestablished as a State Press provider in the RA. With the adoption of the new civil code in July 1999 the company was renamed as "ArmPress" CJSC created by the Department of Mass media and Publications of the RA Government.

Living in the century of information and technology, the role and the circle of functions of "ArmPress" has been widened. Thus, dealing with spreading Armenian, CIS and international newspapers, magazines and journals within Armenia via registration and sales per unit is not the only task of the company. In fact, it organizes sales of different publications and suchlike products, keeping contacts with various newspapers and journals published abroad and give them information on Armenia, preparing advertisements, announcements and annotations for press releases, etc.. Furthermore, in Armenian market "ArmPress" is known as distributor of some office supplies too.

"ArmPress", greatly realizing the power of the press aims to consolidate Armenians all over the world by providing fresh news about Armenia to the people from Armenian Diaspora. Besides, it tries to keep the world informed of Armenia in terms of politics, social life, economics, culture and sport.
